On Friday, 29th April 2022, the Indonesian navy stopped a loaded barge from PT Sinarmas LDA Maritime, one of Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food chartering arms. The loaded barge carried out 4.000 MT of our CPO for the domestic market from Samarinda, East Kalimantan, to our refinery in Tarjun, South Kalimantan.
Currently, the barge is still detained for further review by the authorities. We are supporting the ongoing process and providing the necessary documentation. We hope that the authorities will complete their investigation and release our barge soon, so we can continue to distribute the cooking oil to the Indonesian market as mandated by the President.
Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food is committed to supporting and obeying government regulations to ensure the availability of affordable, good quality cooking oil for Indonesian families.
We hope for the cooperation and support of all stakeholders to ensure the distribution process of cooking oil for Indonesian families runs smoothly.
