Brief Profile

SMART’s efficient integrated operations focus on the technology-driven and responsible production. Our primary activities start from cultivating 136 thousand hectares of oil palm plantations in Indonesia, including plasma smallholders; harvesting and extracting fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil and palm kernel; to processing it into a broad range of value-added products such as cooking oil, margarine, shortening, biodiesel and oleochemicals; as well as merchandising palm products globally.

SMART markets and exports palm-based consumer products in the form of bulk and industrial oil. SMART’s refined products are also marketed under several brands, such as Filma and Kunci Mas, which are recognised for their high quality in Indonesia.
