| We ensure environmental sustainability of our operations by implementing best industry practices as policies. We strictly operate on land designated and licensed by the Indonesian government for oil palm cultivation. We are absolutely against burning, and have adhered to a zero burning policy since 1997. We also support preservation of High Conservation Value (HCV). We are committed to conducting careful and comprehensive risk assessments and subsequent identification of potential HCV before we start any new plantation. We also do not develop on land with high carbon stock such as peat soils and primary forest. We recycle all production waste for organic fertiliser and as a source of energy. We also implement integrated pest management and are careful to minimise and mitigate the impact of chemical pesticides on the environment. | ||
